Our Bed & Breakfast "Platzschmied" lies in the heart of the "Norische Region", an area in carinthia of great historical interest.
Our children friendly house is situated in the centre of Guttaring, idealy positioned for daily excursions to the "Hochosterwitz" Castle , the Lake "Längsee", the Heinrich Harrer Museum (Film - 7 Years in Tibet), the walled towns of St. Veit an der Glan and Friesach, as well as the Lake Wörth and Klagenfurt. All of these within 30 minutes drive of our village.
For hiking fans we have plenty of local walks as well as the "Saualm" and the "Klippitztörl" which is also our nearest Skiing area.
