Bernstein Castle, which was built around 1199 and is located in Central Burgenland, is the birthplace of Ladislaus Almásy, whose life was portrayed in the movie "The English Patient". Each of the spacious rooms is furnished with original furniture and has its own bathroom. The Renaissance-style banquet hall dates back to the 16th century. Today this hall is used as a breakfast room, where you will be served homemade jams and regional specialties. The hall is lit exclusively with candles. Another highlight are the extensive gardens around the castle. Wi-Fi in the fireplace room is free of charge, as is parking within the castle wall
